2. What personal data we process
ABAL Consulting may process the personal data that the user voluntarily provides through the forms, subscriptions or contact channels available on the website.
In particular, we may process:
- Identification data, such as first name and surname.
- Contact data, such as email address and telephone number.
- Professional or company data provided by the user.
- Information the user voluntarily includes in the open fields of the forms.
- In the case of electronic communications, information on interaction with the messages sent, such as opens and link clicks, when this tracking is enabled.
- Technical and browsing data where applicable, in accordance with our Cookie Policy.
We ask users not to include in the forms any particularly sensitive information that is not necessary to respond to their enquiry.
3. What we use the data for
Personal data may be processed for the following purposes:
Responding to enquiries and requests for information.
We will use the data provided to reply to people who contact ABAL Consulting, understand their enquiry and maintain the necessary communications in relation to it.
Managing professional and business relationships.
Where an enquiry leads to a possible collaboration, project or professional relationship, we may use the necessary data to manage that relationship.
Managing our relationship with clients.
Where there is a contractual relationship, we will process the data needed to provide our services, maintain the corresponding communications and comply with applicable administrative, tax and legal obligations.
Sending ABAL Consulting content and communications.
Where appropriate, we may send information about our services, new Insights, news, events and other initiatives related to our activity.
Analysing the performance of our communications.
When tracking is enabled, we may analyse data such as email opens and link clicks to understand the interest our content generates, measure the performance of our communications and better tailor future content to recipients' interests.
Mailchimp technically allows opens and clicks to be recorded and that data to be used to analyse contacts' interaction with campaigns. Open metrics, however, may be affected by privacy mechanisms and automated activity, so they are not necessarily an exact measure of a person's behaviour.
Complying with our legal obligations and protecting our systems.
We may process certain data where necessary to comply with legal obligations or to ensure the security and proper functioning of our systems and services.
4. Legal basis for processing
The legal basis will depend on the specific purpose of the processing.
When the user contacts ABAL Consulting to make an enquiry or request information, the processing may be based on the data subject's consent and, where applicable, on the performance of pre-contractual measures requested by them.
Where there is a contractual relationship, we will process the data needed to perform that relationship and comply with the obligations arising from it.
Commercial communications and content will be sent on the legal basis applicable in each case. Where consent is required, it will be requested specifically.
Where processing is based on consent, the user may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
5. Subscription to ABAL Consulting content
Users may voluntarily subscribe to receive new Insights, content, news and other communications from ABAL Consulting.
The subscription is separate from the general contact form. Contacting ABAL Consulting does not mean you are automatically subscribed to our communications.
Users may stop receiving them at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in the emails or by writing to info@abalconsulting.com.
6. How long we keep the data
Personal data will be kept for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected.
Data relating to enquiries and requests will be kept for as long as necessary to handle them and, thereafter, for the periods required to address any potential liabilities.
Where there is a contractual or professional relationship, the data will be kept for as long as that relationship remains in force and, thereafter, for the periods established by law.
Data used to send communications will be kept for as long as the user remains subscribed or while there is another valid legal basis for the processing.
Where erasure is appropriate, the data may be kept duly blocked for the periods necessary to meet legal obligations or liabilities.
7. Data providers and recipients
ABAL Consulting does not sell its users' personal data.
To carry out its activity and provide certain services, ABAL Consulting may use technology providers that process data on the company's behalf, such as web hosting, email, analytics, technical support or communication tools.
To manage and send certain communications we use Mailchimp, a service provided by The Rocket Science Group LLC, a company owned by Intuit.
Mailchimp processes contact information to provide its services and makes it possible to obtain information about interaction with the emails sent, including opens and clicks when these features are enabled.
Data may also be disclosed to public administrations, authorities, courts or other bodies where there is a legal obligation to do so.
8. International data transfers
The use of certain technology providers may involve the processing of data outside the European Economic Area.
In particular, Mailchimp has servers in the United States, so data processed through this service may be transferred, stored or processed there.
The Rocket Science Group LLC, operating as Mailchimp, is covered by Intuit's programme under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Its Data Processing Addendum also provides for the application of the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses where necessary as a mechanism for international data transfers.
ABAL Consulting will endeavour to ensure that international transfers made through its providers are subject to the safeguards required by applicable legislation.
